Shoes are a girls bestfriend

Forget diamonds, it's shoes that makes me happy. I was trying to take pictures for an outfit post but it was just not working so i thought i would do something a little different. I received a delivery today and i'm completely in love with what i got; so i thought i would do a post about them instead of a outfit of the day where i look like a drowned rat. (i'm sure you'll appreciate this decision).

So these were not actually in the delivery, but i bought these the other day. I'm starting sixth form in September and that means i no longer wear a uniform, wooo! I'm moving to a different school to attend sixth form (scary) and the dress code is casual; which is a win win for me. Most schools dress code are office wear so i'm very lucky to be able to wear comfy clothes and so i'm going to be taking full advantage of it: hence the new converses. Surprisingly, considering comfort is always my first priority i only own one pair of converses (comfiest shoes existing) so i thought it was only far to get my self another pair. These shoes are super versatile; it can dress up or down any outfit.

Is it possible to be in love with a material object? I think so. Just imagine these with a pair of super skinny jeans, an over sized shirt with a boyfriend blazer ( you see why i love them now? thought so) I was so reluctant to get a pair of these boots because i thought they would be so uncomfortable but they're really not. These will be perfect for school in September; a super simple outfit will be completely transformed with these shoes.

Hold up, look at these bad boys! These are just the coolest shoes i've ever seen. these are absolutely gorgeous and surprisingly comfy. Can't wait to style these up because there's just something so exciting about them.
Boots- LaModa
Loafers- LaModa
Converses- tReds

so this was a slightly different post, not quite a haul but it was a post, which is better then nothing right? You will no doubt see these items in outfit posts in the future.

Matalic is the new black

Jumpsuit: H&M
Shoes: Tk Max
Necklace: Market in Tenerife

I took my sister for her first proper shopping trip, i wanted to be super comfy and casual so i opted for this outfit. The satin jumpsuit is so easy to wear and i love the way it looks. This necklace was a bargain from a market on holiday; it's literally my favorite necklace, the colour is gorgeous. These shoes speak for themselves really, not everyone cup of tea but i love them (i need to come up with a new phrase instead of 'i love them'). These shoes are super comfy and the skater style are so casual but the matalic material add some excitement to them. This sort of style of outfit is not something i normally wear; but sometimes i think its good to go abit crazy and wear something different, right?

Tartan and Turtle Neck

Top- Republic
Jumpsuit- Boohoo
Shoes- RiverIsland
Necklace- stolen from my mum

Hello there,
I'VE FINALLY GOT AN OUTFIT POST! WOOOO. I know it's still technically summer, but in England it's not exactly 'hot' anymore, so i can get away with this slightly more autumnal choice. I absolutely adore this outfit, it's so easy and comfortable but it still looks like I've made an effort.

I love the colour of the pattern, i think the navy and green just looks gorgeous.

So after i took all these pictures, i realised i'd forgotten to put my lipstick on (welldone Remi) so i put it on and took a few more pictures to just show you what it looks like. Personally, i think it makes a big different to this outfit; the deep intense purple give a grungey feel, which i laaaarve.

I didn't want to add much jewelry to this outfit as i thought it was statement enough, but i love how delicate and cute this necklace is and its a nice contrast to the dark, boyish? type of outfit (i don't know where i was going with that explanation but you get my drift, right?).

I love the boots with this outfit, i haven't worn them in so long, but i feel like these big chunky boots make this outfit.

So that's today's outfit, I've got a few more posts lined up for the next week or so... My posts always have such an abrupt ending but i never know how to finish haha, so sorry...

Contouring and Highlighting

Hello,
My favorite thing about makeup is without a doubt Highlighting and contouring; it makes such an amazing difference to the face and i just find it so fun to do. So i thought i would write a post about my favorite products and all my tips and tricks. My routine isn't anything crazy, its an easy everyday routine which you can literally do in 5 minutes but it makes such a big difference. Now most people would have all ready heard of these tips as its been such a big thing over YouTube and blogs recently; but just in case you'v been living under a rock i thought i would reiterate them for you now, enjoy...

The first vital step for me is a good primer. I start with putting the Maybelline Baby Skin primer all over my face to create a smooth base. I then put the L'Oreal Lumi Magique Primer under my eyes and on my cheek bones. I absolutely adore this primer its amazing at illuminating the face, but when i put it all over my face it makes it super oily around the Tzone, so i stick to putting it where i want the most highlight.

The next step for me is highlighting under the eye to make my eyes really pop (and to make me look as awake as humanly possible for someone who's had 4 hours sleep). This is my an amazing product, i don't normally wear concealer, because i'm lazy and my foundation gives me enough coverage, but when i got this as a tester i fell in love with it. It's shade '01 Fair' which is a few shades lighter than my skin tone which is perfect for what i want to two do. The best thing about this product is that it has a moisturizing outer ring which is so nice on the skin and prevents any dry patches from looking crusty and unattractive. Anyway, i apply in an upside down triangles under the eyes and blend using my 'Blending Concealer' Eco tools brush. This gives such an illuminating finish!

Next stop; Bronzer. This is wish out a doubt my favorite Bronzer. It is the most perfect sun kissed natural looking brown and it's matte (i have a thing with shimmery Bronzers, i just don't like them). I apply this with my Real Techniques Buffing brush, which in my opinion is the best at applying Bronzer. I draw a straight line on my cheek bones from my hair line down, i then blend upwards to give a distinctive cheek bone but still appearing natural. I then draw two faint lines down either side of the tip of my nose, to give the illusion that my nose is not as fat as it normally is. To really highlight my cheek bones i go back in with the concealer and draw a line underneath where i put the bronzer. This gives further definition to the cheeks.

Final step is a bloody good Highlighter. The Benefit High Beam is an amazing highlighter and one of my all time favorites, the pearly pink looks amazing on the cheeks. My new found favorite is this Mac Mineralize skin finish in Lightscapade. The mix of lilac, creams and peach tones give an amazing natural finish. I really don't have a preference between these products, but i do go for the mac one when i'm in a rush as its easier to apply and doesn't need as much blending. But anyway, i apply this to the top of my cheekbones, again from my hair line to under the center of the eye. I then apply this under my eyebrows to give the illusion that my eyebrows are in great condition and not been left for 2 weeks without being touched (oops). so yeah, highlighting is the easiest step but it gives the most amazing finish.

So this is the finished product, I have no makeup on other than foundation and all the products I've spoke about above so that you can really see the effect of the Products that I've talked about.

So that is how i highlight and contour, i hope you enjoyed this post,

CHANEL Perfection Lumiere Foundation Review

Hello,
So, this is my first beauty post; it's a review on my all time favorite foundation. I've had this foundation for about 4 months now, and i feel like that's enough time to be able to give a good review on it.

This foundation is definitely high coverage and so I stuck to wearing it on nights out and special events etc. however, I changed the way i applied it by dotting it lightly over my face and then blending, in circular motions; this left a really light coverage, airbrushed finish. This then allowed me to be able to wear it whenever i wear makeup, which is fabulous. This foundation has spf 10 which is always a plus and my shade is 30 Biege which is a much better colour match than my mac foundation.

The finish of this foundation is an odd one; when first applied it's semi matte, however after i've had a glance in a mirror throughout the day it becomes more of a dewy satin finish (of which i adore so very much). The reason why i bought this foundation was because the my mac studio fix broke me out and left my face looking really oily, this foundation literally does the opposite!

Despite my love for this foundation, i would say it's probably best suited for oilier skin types as when i get the odd dry patch it does tend to cling to did due to it being pretty matte. Additionally, this foundation smells divine! It has an amazing peachy scent which i literally could sit and smell all day; if that's not an incentive to buy a product i don't know what is! But overall i adore this foundation as you can definitely work with it to be able to get your desired finish, making so its definitely versatile; you can wear it day or night, without looking 'too much' or not enough.

If i had to give this a rating i would say 4/5, just because i haven't tried out loads of foundations and so i may find one better, but i still love this one sooooo much! Anyway, i hope you've enjoyed this post; let me know your comments.

Hello Strangers..

Hello,
So, yeah its been awhile. I stopped posting through my exams, after two months of being stressed to the max, (let's just say I left doing work until the last minute, regrets) I gave myself a few weeks to re-cooperate and then I had a crazy July going on two holidays, a music festival, and various of fabulous things (basically had the best summer ever) so I literally didn't have the time to blog. But, don't fear; i'm back.

In addition, I've been reflecting over my previous posts; quite frankly, they were awful and so I had no choice but to delete them all because I was not happy with the world being able to access them. I'm basically starting from fresh with this blog and I hope it will be for the best. Furthermore, I've decided i'm going to start doing beauty blogging as well as fashion, as I've been getting more into makeup recently and it's alot easier to take pictures of products rather than taking pictures of yourself in clothes (i hate taking pictures of myself).

So yeah, I think that's all I have to say, other than sorry for abandoning my blog for such a large period of time; but i'm so excited to get back into doing what i love.
Adios my dears,
