If in doubt, wear black

Skirt- Asos
Top- Asos
Necklaces- LittleO
Shoes- Office
Coat- Asos

Today is a momentous occasion; Remi is wearing a skirt! I love the simplicity of this outfit and the clash of the smart coat with the casual trainers. I recently made a few purchases of simple clothing from Asos for which i can wear to Sixth form; in this outfit i've managed to wear them all together.

Absolutely adore this coat from Asos, the only down side is that its definitely more of a jacket. This coat/jacket is perfect for the transition from summer to autumn but i would not recommend it if you're on the prawl for a warm winter coat. I love the contrast of the formal structure with the oversize slouchy feel.

Definitely recommend checking out the website 'LittleO'. These necklaces were only a couple of pounds and i love them so much; i think stacking up the multiple chains really makes a difference to this outfit due to its simplicity.

Casual as can be

Top- Primark
Jeans- Topshop
Shoes- LaModa

Hello, so it's been a while! These last 8 weeks have been crazy; i started sixth form in September at a new school, which was a massive change. Making new friends and learning new things was hard enough but the sheer mass of work made it impossible for me to prioritize blogging. I did take a few outfit posts which i will upload in the next few days, but i was just too busy to write a post about them these past few weeks. 3 out of the 4 of my subjects are essay based and my 4th is heavily practical meaning i just have so much work to get done. I also do English literature and History which means i have wider reading to do weekly also, which has basically taken over my life! Moaning aside, these past few weeks have been very hard work but i've loved the much needed change! Blogging may have to take a back seat as i'm still dancing all evening, every night after school, but i'll do as much as i can!

Anyway, so now i've started sixth form it mean i no longer need to wear a uniform, woop woop! Luckily, the school i have moved to allow us to wear casual clothes, which is just amazing! so this was an outfit i literally threw together but actually quite liked.
This outfit is just super comfy, casual and easy. Just three items of clothing that are quite diverse in style when when together nicely compliment each other.

These dark washed jeans add a nice grungy vibe to the outfit, the rips in the knees additionally contrast with the girly top.

Ignore the fact that in the picture you can see the stringy thing grrr. But i love this boho esc blouse, The lace and fit make the shirt so easy and cool. I look how shapeless this is, but the boxy sleeves look so nice when pair with skinnies. I also don't think it looks like a primark number also, to me it looks so much more expensive.

And finally, my beloved shoes! The shoes them self are a contrast; thick grungy souls with a smart loafer style front. When put with this outfit i think it again just completely changes the look, to be more boyish and hard (if that makes any sense).
Primer: Loreal Lumi Magique
Foundation: Chanel Perfection Lumiere
Bronzer: Benefit Hula
Blusher- Mac Peaches
Highlighter- Mac light scapade
Eyebrows- Sleek eyebrow kit
Mascara- Mabaline the Falsies
Lip liner- Rimmel lasting Finish 050 tirimasu
Lipstick- Kate Moss Rimmel 03

I went for a super natural nudey look on the face. The eyes are left simple with only a white shimmery eye shadow in the inner corner and brow bone to widen the eyes. The brown nude lip is super subtle and wearable which i love

Hope you enjoyed this post! As i'm at sixth form now, i was thinking of doing some week in outfits as it wouldn't be too time consuming and so i could weekly get up some posts.. let me know what you think!

Monochrone through & through

Hello,
I've got a picture based outfit post for you today, enjoy...

Bought this top the other day; love it! It defiantly calls for a monochrome outfit. This top is actually cropped, but the jeans are so high waisted that it tucks in; i defiantly prefer it tucked in rather than showing midriff. Love these white jeans, they're super comfy just a shame they make your legs look alot bigger than they are. But i love them all the same. These shoes with the fishnet socks add such a nice edge to the outfit. In case you hadn't noticed but me encanta this outfit, so very much.

Top- Boohoo
Jeans- Topshop
Shoes- LaModa
Bracelet- Thomas Sabo

Adios,

New levels of prep

looking back on these pictures, i'm not 100% sure this outfit works; but hey fashion is all about trial and error so let's role with it. I'm not sure whether it's just because I've been staring at these pictures over analysing for too long or whether this outfit is just slightly different from my normal style.

Shirt- Primark
Necklace- Necklace
Jumper- Topshop
Jeans- Topshop
Boots- La moda
Bracelet- Pandora
Ring- Pandora

So when it comes to winter, my standard outfit tends to rock the 'Preppy' trend, ie. Collar, Jumper & Jeans. So instead of being generic in my outfit choice i tried to put a twist on my favorite style for autumn/ winter.

This jumper is super fluffy and reminds me of a teddy bear because its so damn soft! The powder blue adds to the girly feel of this jumper which i think is super cute. I would normally tuck in my shirt, but as the jumper is a long crop (interesting concept, but you know what i mean) i left the shirt loose as it added new dimensions to the outfit by adding layers. This simple white shirt is crisp and smart which counteracts the girlishness of the jumper.

I normally add a necklace to peep through the collar; but personally, i think that might be why i'm 'uming' and 'aring' about this outfit, i just don't think it works. hmm i don't know.

IN LOVE WITH THIS JEANS! I wanted a pair of the generic Topshop ripped jeans for ages (go on just call me a sheep) but i thought it was only the Leigh and Jamie style that did them and they're not high waisted enough for me. So when i looked on the Topshop website and found the Joni jeans did the ripped style, i ordered them immediately. I just think it adds an edge to an outfit, makes it look less girly and generic.

I'm still not used to wearing these shoes, they're higher than what i'm used to and they make me feel grown up and i'm not sure i like that feeling. You know when you were little and you dressed up with your mums heels? That's how i feel ha ha. I don't think these pictures do them justice tbh because they look so much better than this! But these pictures are giving me second thoughts. On the whole though i do like these shoes and i think its just a matter of getting used to them.

I kind of feel like this post was a bit negatively inclined? It wasn't intentional but i'm just giving my honest opinion and for once i'm just not completely in love with this outfit, despite the fact i love all the items separately. Let me know what you think about this outfit and whether it's just me being paranoid!
